Ican was founded in 1968 in Kyobashi, Tokyo. Nowadays, Ican is operating 2 factories in Funabashi and Shirakawa for manufacturing brakes for industrial cranes of terminal ports such as Quay Crane (STS), Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane (RTG), Rail Mounted Quay Crane (RMQC), Rail Mounted Gantry Crane (RMG), etc... and various components of cranes and loading equipment. The company is the leading industrial crane brake manufacturer in Japan with over 90% of market share.
