Ican's line-up in Preventing Quay Crane Runaway Accidents (runaway stop brakes) to protect traveling cranes from risk of runaway accident caused by sudden wind gust or violent weather.
Calipers of 2 identical halves acting on brake disc produce the balanced and stable braking force safely. Caliper brakes are adopted as the emergency stopping brake of hoisting and wire-drum winches.
